Fifth visit
Although not strictly speaking a visit, since this particular time we met at the exhibition centre where Dinara’s embroidery was being shown. I promised to take pictures of the vernissage, which I did as a personal favour, but I don’t know if I’m going to show these images, since they detract from the normalcy I am trying to get across through the work.
Of course, all the press attention looks great, but it is not really in keeping with the rest of the material, and it is not really what I want to say about Dinara. On the other hand, if she feels that is the way she wants to be presented, then so be it…
Although we had agreed to go out on a future occasion with her friends, Dinara says that she no longer goes out, and all her time is used up. I’m not sure whether this means she’s tired of the whole thing, but it seems to me that I’ll be lucky to get another visit in.
